For a split second
There was a gentle breeze and the bird songs filled the air on this Tuesday afternoon. But for a split second everything suddenly came to a halt and fell silent. The world paused. Time stopped except for the mongooses that ruled the world. People might not have noticed this brief moment but the mongooses know: this was their apotheosis.
